My prayers and thoughts go out to Pat and her 2 young sons. I hope that when the investigation has been completed that you, Pat wil be able to find some solace to this horrific tragedy. Being involved with the Massapequa Fire Dept, I know that the Seldan Fire Dept as well as NCPD will be there to try and make the difficult times a little easier, but no one will ever really know what this time is like, but you. I wish you peace in the days to come and stay strong for those two young sons of yours, because hearing the things I have heard about your husband, that is what he knows you will do. I leave you with this thought, You and Geoffeey have had the good fortune to have 2 sons, stay strong for them and show them the way with your strength and conviction that you had to have beeing married to NCPO. Again my prayers and my deepest appreciation for your husband who helped to keep our community and children safe.

For everything he did we should be grateful. Under the watch of these brave men, Children can play safely without any worries. Kindness should be in each of our hearts for his service to his country. Tomorrow, i hope everything goes well for geoff's family; He will be truly missed. Everyone could learn a lesson from such a brave man doing his duty. Probably too late to say, but we should look at the true service he provided to us and paid the ultimate price. Out of deep respect for him and Love, I Cannot Express how deep my condolences are.

I'm a retired NYPD Captain and sometimes I had the pleasure of supervising great cops like Geof. Subsequent to my own induction into the NYPD Honor Legion, I met a lot more great guys - like Geof. I didn't have the opportunity to know Geof, but I knew many like him, i.e. I knew the type. Just couldn't stop serving and helping others via public, uniformed service. God bless his family; he'll be missed! Dukes2352@AOL.com
