The sixth annual Long Island Restaurant Week is on, with dozens of participating restaurants.
Restaurants will offer $24.95 menus of three dinner choices, appetizers and desserts.
Participating Port Washington eateries include La P’tite Framboise, Louie’s Oyster Bar and Grille, and Wild Honey on Main
This year, partnering with Long Island Restaurant Week and L.I. Tweetup, several restaurants will collect donations for Island Harvest and host meetings between L.I.Tweetup members to benefit Island Harvest.
Five restaurants, including Thyme Restaurant in Roslyn, Vittorio's in Amityville, Honu in Huntington, Grasso's in Cold Spring Harbor, and Nick & Toni's in East Hampton, will collect donations of cash, non-perishable food or supermarket cards to help feed those in need.
The event runs all week, ending Nov. 13.

I feel very sad that there are only 3 restaurants participating .... I am also very sad that most of the restaurants .. businesss' in Port Washington are closing down ..... Sunday was a beautiful day ... I walked my dogs to the water and Port Washington was a ghost town !!!!!!!! We are not encouraging the people to come here yet we are one of the most beautiful towns on Long Island !!!!! WHY ?????? We could do so much more to attract people to the area ..... and as far as the restaurants are concerned ... Bistro and Wild Honey have my vote as for Louies .... food is just awful ... service even worse and they are just a catchment for the view .... I would rather take out from Ginos (which is very good BTW ) and drive to the water to eat .... WAKE UP Port Washington political people !!!! forget about your egos and bring life back to this town ...
