The site is located at Manorhaven Beach Park.

There's a new skate spot in Port Washington, at .

The spot, which is about 10,000-square-feet, was designed by Jason Baldessari, of California-based Spohn Ranch Skateparks, with who met with the designer at a public meeting in December 2010.

"There were many teen skaters there and Jason not only met with them that night for about an hour and a half, he exchanged email addresses with them," said North Hempstead Councilman Fred Pollack. "The teens sent him ideas about the type of facility they wanted. And he used many of their ideas in the design. That's why I am confident this skate facility will be popular for years to come."
