Platform tennis enthusiasts, take note: The is adding a new platform tennis program.
Unfamiliar with platform tennis? According to the American Platform Tennis Assocition, "the game is played on an elevated aluminum deck" that is "one-quarter the size" of a traditional tennis court. The court is "surrounded by a 12-foot high superstructure with taut, 16-gauge 'chicken wire' fencing, which allows play off the walls, as in racquetball and squash."
At the Village Club, three platform tennis courts will be installed by Reilly Green Mountain Platform for October 2012 play. The program will include mens and womens' teams, social play, lessons, and events.
