Coaches vs. Cancer is a popular fundraiser on the college level, and two years ago boys varsity basketball coach, Sean Dooley, brought it to Port Washington. He has taken the rivalry between Port Washington and Plainview and turned it into a fundaising effort.

Dooley and his team encouraged fans to come out to support the team and their fight against cancer while making monetary donations at the door. The boys teams wore pink wristbands while the girls teams wore pink socks and laces. Thoe coaches wore sneakers.

This year, fans were treated to a doubleheader. Port's boys varsity team started the day with a 40-37 win and the girls completed the doubleheader with a 40-25 win.
