This week the best value for one to eat healthy and economically is to take advantage of the produce specials and store brand generic items. There appears to be no national brand specials. 

King Kullen has a few good loss leaders to get you into the supermarket (highlighted in yellow on the sheet) and Valentine’s Day flowers are specially priced.    

Area gas prices remain high as the prices at the pump creep up to the four dollar level.  Ugh !

TIPS OF THE WEEK: Take advantage of the “winter clearance” sales at area department stores.  Cold weather gear is being discounted and sock away some items for 2012 Holiday gifts.
