Songs For Cecelia; Schreiber Sports

Some happenings in and around Port Washington today.

Songs For Cecelia: Port Washington Play Troupe will host “Songs for Cecilia,” an informal church fundraiser series in the St. Cecilia Room at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church: 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Anyone from the community is welcome to come on stage and sing a song from the Great American Songbook (Broadway musicals, Hollywood film songs, 20th century classics), accompanied on piano by board member David Barnett. Voluntary donations will be collected to re-carpet the St. Cecilia Room for the church. 

BID Meeting: The Greater Port Washington Board of Directors meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Chamber/BID Office, 329 Main St., Port Washington.

Fall Fun and Games: Join Project Independence and the EJOY Community Resource Center for fun and games on Wednesdays at the Roslyn Community Center, 53 Orchard St. Enjoy Bingo and other boar games from 10 a.m. until noon. Call 311 or (516) 869-6311 for more information.

Wii U: For teens in grades 7 through 12. Runs October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the Port Washington Library from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
