2013 New York Super Lawyers Recognizes Manhasset Resident Jerry Reisman

Manhasset resident, Jerry Reisman, a partner at Reisman Peirez Reisman & Capobianco in Garden City, has been named to the New York Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in New York for 2013.  No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are recognized by Super Lawyers for this recognition.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.

Mr. Reisman, heads the Firm’s Financial Services practice group, his work encompasses Bankruptcy, Creditors' Rights, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, Bank Documentation, Secured Lending, Corporate and Financial Fraud, Asset Protection and Estate Planning. Jerry is frequently seen in the media as a legal commentator, has been quoted in major publications and lectured extensively to the legal community on financial matters. He has also represented numerous victims of Bernie Madoff.

A graduate of Queens College and Syracuse University Law School, Reisman was admitted to the New York Bar in 1967.He currently serves as Justice for the Village of North Hills. Previously he used his legal expertise to serve the Village of Great Neck as Deputy Mayor, Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and Member of the Planning Board.
