WANTED: Port Washington Artists to open their studios/workspaces and participate in this first annual event
WHAT: First Annual "HEARTS PW Open Studios Event"
WHEN: September 7th - September 9th, 2012
WHY: To Foster and Support the Arts in Port Washington, and for Fun.
DETAILS:
- Artists in Port Washington are invited to open their studios/workspaces during the weekend of September 7-September 9th, 2012.
- Event hours will be Fri: 5pm-8pm, Sat and Sun: 11am-6pm. Artist can open their studio for any portion of that time.
- Publicity: A webpage will list the participating artists and their locations with descriptions of work and links to websites. Local media will be contacted to list and cover the event, flyers will be posted locally, and a Facebook event invitation will be created. Participating artist are expected to promote the event as well.
- 20% of all sales made during the event will be donated to HEARTS PW to support the arts in Port Washington (see heartspw.org for more information).
- If artists do not have studios in PW, they are welcome to find a local venue to sponsor them and display their work [ie: a local shop].
