Opportunities in Nassau County Museum of Art’s Museum Store
Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor announces opportunities for volunteers. The museum is especially interested in hearing from potential volunteers with experience in retail selling, particularly those who would be available to work weekend shifts at the Museum Store.
Other opportunities are available for people who would greet visitors as they enter the museum, and those who can offer general office support.
The museum’s volunteer force is an invaluable component of the Museum Family. Some volunteers work in positions at the front desk, in membership and in the Museum Store that have them serving as the public face of the museum. Others work behind the scenes, assisting staff members in clerical and administrative functions. What is required for all volunteer positions is enthusiasm for museum work, willingness to learn and the wish to become a meaningful part of the museum’s mission of service to the community.
To find out more about volunteer opportunities at NCMA, call Director of Volunteers Nancy Barone at (516) 484-9338, ext. 31 or write to nbarone@nassaumuseum.org.
