Hope for Hope is pleased to announce its first dodgeball tournament on November 24th in Port Washington at Unlimited Sports Action. Our tournament is a fundraiser for Project Little Drops, our current project in Kenya, where Hope for Hope is building dormitories for 40 orphans, and providing them with proper nutrition, clean water, an education and a safe shelter.
The tournament will be split into two sections. Our youth tournament (ages 7-10) will start off at 9:30AM on Saturday morning. Teams of four will play against each other in a friendly tournament until noon. Parents are welcome to stay to spectate and support Hope for Hope.
The adult tournament will begin at 2PM. Pre-set teams of five will face off in a tournament for Hope. Prizes will go to the three top place teams. Participants over the age of 21 will receive a free drink ticket to Sullivan's Quay in Port Washington for redemption after the event. We hope that everyone joins us for a drink to celebrate!
In addition to fundraising for Hope for Hope, we're also collecting goods to support those who were displaced by Hurricane Sandy. The storm hit us hard too, and we want to do what we can to aid our own community. If you can, please bring the following items for donation, anyone who donates 10+ items will be given an extra drink ticket for redemption at Sullivan's: Bottled water, industrial garbage bags, work gloves, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, toiletries, dog food, manual can openers, batteries (mostly C & D), sanitary wipes, blankets, scarves and any other cold weather gear.
We'll be selling Hope for Hope merchandise and collecting donations for Project Little Drops. We look forward to seeing everyone at this event, we hope you can make it!
Thank you for all of your support
