Today's adults grew up in a climate of expanding women's rights. Now many of these rights are under fierce attack. To develop ways to combat this trend the Reconstructionist Synaogue of the North Shore (RSNS) is hosting a forum at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, to address urgent issues on the national and local agenda. The speakers will be two distinguished leaders in protecting women’s rights: Nassau Civil Liberties Union President Roy Klein who will speak on "Women's Reproductive Health Rights; A Brief Legal and Political History" and Nassau Planned Parenthood President Joann Smith: "Women's Health Care: What's at Stake."
Representatives of local government, community and religious organizations will join together at this forum, which is envisioned as the first of several leading to an action program. There will be a Q and A session following the speeches and will be moderated by Rabbi Lee Friedlander of RSNS. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to: rsns@optonline.net
