- The following is from Residents for A More Beautiful Port Washington.
As part of our tree-1-1 notification program, RESIDENTS has been provided the following information:
The Port Washington School District will be removing two locust trees at Sousa elementary school. They are on the north side of the 2 story wing.
The trees are too close to the building and the leaves are clogging the gutters on a regular basis causing water to back up into the building.
There are Sycamore trees planted in the same vicinity that will benefit from the removal of the Locust trees.
If you have any questions, please contact James Ristano, Director of Port Washington School District Facilities & Operations.
