First Things First For Eating Disorders Feb 13 Workshop Cancelled

This month's workshop,

"SIX STAGES TO RECOVERY: FROM
DENIAL TO THE NEW SELF" scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2014, AT
7:30PM
is cancelled due to the storm watch in affect from late Wednesday night until late Thursday night and expected hazardous weather conditions.



The next meeting will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 7:30 pm at 19 West 34th Street, Third Floor,
Suite 301, New York City.



First Things First For Eating

Disorders is a free monthly interactive motivational workshop for those


affected by an Eating Disorder.  This popular group program was developed


and is led by veteran Psychotherapist and eating disorders specialist William


Skerker, LCSW, LRSW, and is Co-Administered by Ellen Schieren who provides


personalized phone help and support. Many attendees have reported that First

Things First has helped them increase their sense of self-worth, and that it

has bolstered their commitment to decisions and behaviors leading to healthier

and more fulfilling lives.

First Things First For Eating


Disorders delivers a pro-treatment and pro-recovery message.  It asks key


questions about what you truly want, what your agendas might be, and helps

participants identify and overcome obstacles and conflicts that prevent them

from reaching their goals.  Each First Things First topic reflects a


theoretical position and its practical application for Eating Disordered


individuals seeking permanent recovery.

First Things First For Eating

Disorders is free of charge, and free of obligation.  Your one-time email

or phone registration allows you to attend as many meetings as you would like

without re-registering.  Your personal information will remain private,

and you will receive an email reminder announcing the topic before each

meeting. Each monthly meeting is held on a Thursday evening at 7:30 PM in

Manhattan at 19 West 34th Street, in Suite 301, on the Third Floor. See below
