Play Troupe Announces 2014 Children’s Show & Auditions

Port Washington Play Troupe is proud to announce the 2014 Children’s Show, a revival of The Emperor’s Tales, two stories by Hans Christian Andersen (“The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “The Emperor and the Nightingale”). Performances will be May 16-18, 2014 at St. Stephen’s Church.

The Children’s Show first presented The Emperor’s Tales, adapted for the stage by Tony Traguardo and returning director Diana vonRoeschlaub, in 1994. The production was so successful, it toured the UK in 1995.

“The original production of The Emperor’s Tales marked such a proud moment for Play Troupe,” says vonRoeschlaub. “Now we’re excited to bring these wonderful, funny, touching stories to a new generation of children and families.”
