U.S. News & World Report ranked Paul D. Schreiber High School in the Port Washington School District No. 40 in New York State and No. 241 nationally in its 2014 Best High Schools report.
A total of 31,242 schools are analyzed for the report from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with data published on 19,411 of those schools.
Rankings are compiled by U.S. News, in conjunction with American Institutes for Research, and are based on a variety of criteria. Schools must demonstrate that they serve all students well – not only those headed to college – and must also show measurable academic outcomes through several performance indicators to prove that all students are being successfully educated. A variety of indexes are provided based on the report, including math and English proficiency, Advanced Placement and college course participation, and student demographics.
