The Port Washington Chamber of Commerce will hold a "SOUPer Bowl" game at the United Methodist Church at 35 Middle Neck Road, in Fellowship Hall, where local restaurants will compete to win the title of "SOUPer BOWL Champ," on Saturday Feb.6, the day before the Super Bowl, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Participants will "buy a spoon" and sample 2-ounce portions of every soup and then cast a vote for their favorite. A "People's Choice Award" and a "Judges' Choice Award" will be presented to the restaurants with the best soup in 2010.
The cost to enter the contest is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
