A Valentine's Day Prayer for Sydney

Community asked to pray for ailing Port Washington girl.

Family and friends of Sydney are pausing at noon Thursday, to stop and say a prayer wherever they are for the young girl's full recovery.

There's no formal meeting place, no specific church or synagogue. But at noon, people are taking a moment to pray together.

Sydney, who was injured during a sledding accident on Sunday, is stable, according to a source close to the family. Another girl, who was also injured, may go home soon.

On Valentine's Day, family and friends, and even those who never met Sydney but are pulling for her recovery, will take a moment to show their love, with a moment of prayer.
