Annual Helen's Run/Walk Set For Sunday

Registration limited for Sands Point event.

Online registration closes Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. for the annual Helen's Run/Walk set for Sunday at the Sands Point Preserve.

Organizers say entries will be capped at 400, including online and mail-in registration. Registration is $25, event day registration is $35 if race has not reached 400 entrants in advance.

Award categories include: First overall male and female finishers; first physically challenged male and female finishers; top three male and female finishers in age categories 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and over 70.

Presented by the Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults, the event includes post-race music, refreshments, pre-race and on course water stops, clocks at every mile and Tee shirts for all participants.

For the safety of all participants, the following are not permitted on the course: baby joggers, strollers, wagons, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and pets.

Wheelchairs and working service dogs are welcomed.
