Archangel Michael Church Nears Completion

Views of the sanctuary and architecture of Port Washington's new Greek Orthodox Church.

Port Washington's Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church plans to enjoy full use of their new home on Dec. 22 – just in time for Christmas. His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America will attend "Thyranoixia," the special occasion marking the offical opening of the doors.

Artists, architects and artisans have been working together to complete the final stages of construction of this magnificent complex. The growing membership currently has 658 families from nearby communities who belong to the congregation led by Father Dennis Strouzas, Presbyter. Patch will return to capture more images of the sanctuary and other interior spaces once the entire project is completed.

Particularly out of line since it's a shared-use puddle for camp groups splashing, not a good poolRead More venue for individuals swimming.

The TONH should be under some investigation for charging such a high fee for a very short summerRead More season. You lose most of june and the pool closes in early September. Better off paying as you go just purchase the parking permit which is good at the Manorhaven Pool and the Harbor beach. Stop buying a season pass in protest to the yearly excessive price increase.
