Art Exhibit to Open at the PWPL

Library to present the works of Linda Ruden in January.

The Port Washington Public Library will present the works of Linda Ruden in the Main Gallery from Jan. 3-30.

A reception for the artist will be held Jan. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the library.

Linda Ruden is painter and entrepreneur in the Long Island art community. She received her MFA from C.W. Post College and has studied with Bob Yasuda, Jerry Zimmerman and Steve Lampsona. She has participated in shows in Manhattan, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut, and has received numerous awards and media attention. Most recently she was featured on Push Pause on Verizon Fios in a piece called “Art Is My Savior.”

She is an active participant in the Long Island art community and is a member of the Art Guild of Port Washington, the Manhasset Art Association, the Artists Network of Great Neck, the Art League of Huntington and the Long Island Art League, where she also participates with a group of plein air painters.

She also participates in the National Association of Women Artists in Manhattan. Her paintings and prints are in numerous private collections.
