Participants eagerly learned the graceful movements of the hula from visiting professional dancers. After the presentation, they enjoyed a special visit from "Elvis" who showed up to DJ and play music from the 50's.

Grass skirts, floral leis and colorful straw hats were donned by many. Organized by Department of Community Services, each week's session features a novel theme. The program continues on Monday, Aug. 13, when it's "Mardi Gras" time.

This populuar event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to all North Hempstead seniors. Join the fun: bring along lunch and friends.
