Community Chest of Port Washington is offering small grants to non-profit organizations that serve Port Washington residents and can demonstrate a significant programming, operating or capital need because of Sandy.
“We are glad to be able to provide some financial assistance to help organizations recover from hurricane Sandy," said Community Chest Executive Director Julie Meer Harnick, in a statement. "Helping during difficult times is only possible because of the generosity of the People of Port.”
To apply for a Community Chest hurricane Sandy grant, contact the Community Chest office at 767-2121 or jmharnick@portchest.org. Request deadline is January 7, 2012.
