PWPL to open doors at 1 p.m.

The Port Washington Public Library library will open at 1 p.m. Wednesday after closing early Tuesday due a winter storm that dumped nearly a foot of snow in the region.

On tap at the library today:

The 1949 film, "The File On Thelma Jordan" runs at 7:30 p.m., according to the library website. A married woman (Barbara Stanwyck) seduces an assistant district attorney (Wendell Corey) in this suspense classic. Admission is free.

The Port Writes group will meet and discuss their work, including possible ways to get it published. The group meets the fourth Wednesday of every month. The open meeting is facilitated by Michael Chaplan. Start time is 8 p.m.
