Dodge Homestead Open House Draws Crowds

Visitors get a glimpse into Port Washington history

It was a perfect day for an open house. The historic Dodge Homestead threw open its doors to welcome groups of visitors who toured the house and enjoyed live music performances from Mark Underwood (Dark Violin) and PW Jam, a local folk group. Home baked cookies, lemonade and other treats refreshed visitors who strolled the grounds, spoke with the beekeeper about the local honey, and purchased honey and tshirts from the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society.

The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society wishes to extend a special thanks to the local merchants who graciously donated food and flowers. Thank you to North Shore Farms, Main Street Bakery, and Port Washington Florist. Thank you as well to the musicians who volunteered their time and talent, and the volunteers who made it happen.
