Good Friday Tenebrae Service

Tenebrae, derived from the Latin for "darkness," is an ancient Christian service used to mark the solemnity of Good Friday.  The chorale service under the direction of Ms. Judith Lowe, Director of Music, is led by the church's adult Choir.  Lights in the church are darkened as the 7 last sentences of Jesus spoken from the cross are presented in musical form. The worship assembly leaves in silence awaiting the first shout of Easter Sunday, "He is not here.  He is risen from the dead!  Alleluia." All are invited to attend.
