PJ Story Time at The Community Synagogue

Monthly PJ Story Time at The Community Synagogue – Everyone is Invited!

Anyone who has read with a child has seen the magic and wonder that books can bring into our lives.  During this past year, The Community Synagogue has brought the nationally acclaimed PJ Library to Port Washington. The PJ Library, created by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, supports families in their Jewish journey by sending Jewish-content books and music free of charge on a monthly basis to children from age six months to six years.

New this year, The Community Synagogue has introduced an exciting program linked to PJ Library, PJ Story Time.  At 9 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month, a special story time session is held for children ages 6 and younger.  The thirty minute Story Time session has a theme each month and includes the reading of a few stories, some songs and even balloons.  Children and parents get comfortable on bean bags and mats, relax and let their imaginations soar.

If you have young children, please join us for these monthly story times – you can even wear your PJ's.  All sessions are 9 - 9:30am.  Our next session is this Sunday, January 9th.  Dates for the rest of the year are:  February 6, March 6, April 3, and May 1.  If you have any questions or are interested in signing your family up for The PJ Library, please contact Susan Freire at 883-3144 x316.  The PJ Library is brought to you In Loving Memory or Robin Ross and by The Sisterhood of The Community Synagogue.
