FunDay Monday At The Beach 2012

TONH hosts a weekly summer beach party for Seniors in Port Washington.

Heard through speakers in the pavilion at FunDay Monday, the song "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" set the mood for senior residents at the weekly beach party .

They certainly had the groove and were on the move as they enjoyed dancing, games, socializing and sharing picnic lunches. The theme for the July 30th session was "Senior Health Education Fair," which featured free screenings.  Information on a wide array of senior services available from the town as well as community-based organizations were provided.

"Blue Hawaii" and the songs of Elvis are the theme for the session on Monday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m.-2p.m. Each week hundreds of seats are set out and filled by enthusiastic seniors who are bused in or drive to the beach from every corner of town.

For more information about the program or the bus schedules call 311.
