Girl Scouts from the St. Peter's Girl Scout Troop 432 earned Silver Awards June 3.
To earn the awards the girls held religious formation classes for special needs children who required one-on-one instruction. The classes enabled the students to receive first Holy Communion last year.
Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Dina DeGiorgio presented certificates from the town to the following girls their achievements: Stephanie Bianco, Gianna Deleonardis, Joanna Grillo, Maura Intemann, Emily Larosa, Elizabeth Lata, Julianna Malatino, Nicole Manasseri, Rebecca McCallin, Olivia Moss, Helena Sanders, Angela Sikes, Isabella Skoda, Amanda Epp, Katie Spinelli, Shannon Straggi, Kiersten Pedersen, Kaitlin Morris, Samantha D’Alonzo, Alexa Formisano) with Dina and troop leader Virginia Sikes.
