Korean American Association Honored by Town

Newly elected officials sworn in.

The Korean American Association of Long Island recently held an installation ceremony for their incoming officers in Manhasset.

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Kaiman welcomed the group to Town Hall Aug. 28 and thanked them for working with Town on various initiatives, including North Hempstead’s Asian American Festival.

“Your organization plays an important role in our community,” said Kaiman.  “The way you preserve your traditions while sharing your culture with us, is part of what makes this country so great.”  

Sworn-in were newly elected President Debi Sunhea Kim; Chairman of the Board Peter Dongwon Kim; Vice-Presidents Dr. Sang Yong Kim, Young Hee Lee, and Daniel Lee; and General Secretary Dr. Angela Jongsoon Park.
