Last Chance: Time Travel Discussion at Library

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in.

From time to time, Port Washington Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.

On Tuesday at the Port Washington Library, author Frank Borzellieri will consider the scientific reality of time travel, based on the theories of Einstein.

Many people don’t realize that time travel actually has a basis in science, specifically Einstein’s theories of general and special relativity. Today, a number of eminent scientists are working on developing the first time machine.

Borzellieri, the author of "The Physics of Dark Shadows," will discuss wormholes, black holes and how time travel is achieved through both speed and gravity.

The event begins Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
