Sousa Shows Spirit

More than 60 students and parents, wearing red and white and showing their Sousa pride during Pride in Port parade.

It was a beautiful day for the 25th Annual Pride in Port parade, where students from John Philip Sousa Elementary School displayed their school spirit as they marched along Port Washington’s Main Street.

More than 60 students and parents, wearing red and white and showing their Sousa pride with red and white balloons and pom-poms, cheered and sang to crowds of waving Port Washington residents that lined the streets.

Sousa marchers were all smiles as they paraded up to Port Washington Boulevard on their way to Paul D. Schreiber High School, where they joined all the other parade goers at Family Fun Day and enjoyed bouncy castles, rock climbing, food and fun at the high school field.
