Patch was all over the North Shore in 2013 capturing some important moments on video. Here are a few of the most popular videos of the year in Port Washington and Great Neck:

- Port Performer Comes Clean For 'Grease': After more than 40 years of sporting a moustache, Port Washington resident Bobby Garofalo gets a new look.
- Cars Swerve to Avoid Repaired Potholes on Beacon Hill: Patch presses elected officials to get bumpy pothole situation fixed correctly on Beacon Hill Road in Port Washington.
- Port Washington Swears In First African-American Police Chief: The Port Washington Police Department made history as Lt. Brian Staley, a 31-year veteran of the department, became the first African-American in the more than 100-year history of the Port Washington Police District to be named to a chief's position.
- Locals React to 'Long Island Princesses' Show: Reaction on the street was sharp and swift on the news of a new TV reality show which will feature a group of young, Great Neck women.

- What Tha? Campaign Signs Everywhere: Patch questions the placement of campaign signs along a stretch of road in Port Washington much in need of a mow. The signs were eventually removed from the road by the candidates and the grass was cut.

- Judi Bosworth Wins North Hempstead Supervisor Race: The three-term Nassau County Legislator from Great Neck defeated Republican Town Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio of Port Washington by a wide margin to win a first term as North Hempstead supervisor.
- Funday Monday Event Honors Veterans: Final Funday Monday event of the season features classic car show, tribute to vets at North Hempstead Beach Park.
- Veterans Honored at Sunset Park: On Veterans Day, service members of the past and present gathered in the band shell at Sunset Park for a brief ceremony which included traditional celebration, prayer and song — although attendance was somewhat low for the tribute.

- Cool Port Parade Video Surfaces From 1980's: A heartwarming home movie posted on YouTube gives a glimpse of a hometown parade in Port Washington in the early 1980's.
