Tori’s for Autism is Sunday
The salon is doing its part to raise money for Autism Speaks
April is Autism Awareness month, and Tori’s Place, the Willowdale Avenue hair salon for children and adults, is doing its part to shine a light on this complex disorder.
On Sunday, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tori’s Place will feature Tori’s for Autism. Visitors and passers-by can enjoy:
- Blue hair extensions, feathers, tinsel
- Face painting, tattoos
- Sidewalk sale, vendors, garage sae
- Blue lemonade, bake sale
- Raffles
- And more
Valentina Hartman, who owns the salon with her husband Michael and daughter Tori says proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks, an Autism science and advocacy organization. According to the organization, Autism affects one in 88 children – one in 54 boys. Learn more.
