County Opens Warming Center in Port Washington
Port Washington Senior Center one of 19 warming centers opened by Nassau County.
With snow and frigid temperatures forecast for the region, Nassau County today announced the opening of a warming center in Port Washington.
The Port Washington Senior Community Service Center in the St. Stephen’s Church at 9 Carlton Ave. will be available for those needing relief during the storm which is expected to bring more than six inches of snow to Long Island on Tuesday.
Residents are encouraged to call the center at (516) 944-9654 for hours of operation.
