Weber Student Wins Pride in Port Tee Shirt Contest

Adam Jackman designs winning entry.

Seventh-grader Adam Jackman submitted the winning design for this year’s Pride in Port tee shirt contest.

The Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School student says he loves everything about Port Washington.

"It’s the perfect town,” Jackman said this week.

He further mentioned the sunsets and the waterfront. But, when asked where he’d like to have his picture taken with the winning design, there was no hesitation.

“Lions Field," said Jackman, a proud member of the 2013 Port Washington Legends 11 and under team, who was quick to mention that the team was the first of its kind from Port Washington to win a playoff game in Cooperstown. He also noted the team won their sectionals and went to the state competition.

Jackman says Carlo’s Pizza is his favorite place to eat in Port. In school, his favorite subjects are social studies and art. His pride in port showed in the wonderful tee shirt design he created.

Pride in Port Tee Shirts are available for $10 at Arena Sports. They are expected to be available Sept. 28 at the Pride in Port Family Fun activities on Campus Drive.
