Port Washington Man Seriously Injured in Commack Crash: A Port Washington man was seriously injured in single car crash Wednesday night on the Sunken Meadow Parkway in Commack and a Northport man is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, according to a Newsday report. 

Dems Ram North Hempstead Pay Hikes Through: A resolution pushed through by North Hempstead town board Democrats Tuesday will significantly raise pay for elected officials, despite calls to delay the vote on the issue until a new supervisor takes over next month.

Update: Port Firefighter Charged with Soliciting EMT Pleads Guilty: Bernard  Shore, a Port Washington man charged with soliciting an impersonator to take his EMT certification exam for him, pleaded guilty today to official misconduct, a Class A misdemeanor, according to a representative from Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice.
