Asian American Festival is Saturday in Port Washington

Festivities to include cultural performances, folk art, and food from China, India, Japan, Korea and Pakistan.

Saturday is the fourth annual Asian American Festival at North Hempstead Beach Park, on West Shore Road in Port Washington from 12-6 p.m. 

Hosted by the Town of North Hempstead, the event has drawn thousands of attendees in the past from North Hempstead and the metro area. Festivities will showcase cultural performances, folk art, and food from China, India, Japan, Korea and Pakistan. 

Other highlights include “K-pop,” or Korean pop, Bollywood and Chinese puppeteers.  You’ll also find traditional Japanese farmer’s market, Korean BBQ, and other culinary treats from across the Asian-Pacific countries.  

WAC Lighting is joined by Pakistan Voice and the Chinese World Journal, Kiss and Shanghai Commercial Bank in sponsoring the event.
