Beloved Port Actor to Help Open Long Beach Film Festival
Burt Young to help kick off "Shorts on the Beach" event Thursday.
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano will be joined at a press conference Thursday by beloved Port Washington resident Gerald Tommaso DeLouise as they announce the Long Beach International Film Festival "Shorts on the Beach."
Better known by his stage name Burt Young, best known for his Academy-Award nominated role as Sylvester Stallone’s brother-in-law and best friend Paulie in the Rocky film series, DeLouise most recently helped to kick off the Cinema by the Bay film series earlier this year at Sunset Park in Port Washington.
Co-founded by Ingrid Dodd and Craig Weintraub, the second annual film festival will be held later that day at the Allegria Hotel on Aug. 22.
