KidStock: A Music Festival for Kids and Kids-at-Heart

First of its Kind Event Will Feature Grammy Award Nominated Artists


North Hempstead, NY – As part of North Hempstead’s dynamic lineup of events during festival month, Supervisor Jon Kaiman and the North Hempstead Town Board announced the first annual KidStock children’s music festival, to be held on June 4 at North Hempstead Beach Park.

“KidStock is going to be a real treat for the kids, as well as the parents looking for an opportunity to spend some quality family time together outdoors,” said Supervisor Jon Kaiman. “This event is just another facet of the many offerings we have organized for residents to help promote a sense of community and celebrate our camaraderie.”

 This fun-filled extravaganza will take place from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Rain Date: June 5) at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington. The park will open to the public at 11:30 am.

The exciting collection of featured guests includes the special Master of Ceremonies—Roscoe Orman, “Gordon” of Sesame Street.

The day’s performances will feature a blend of music that includes folk, rock, kid hop and kindie rock.

Other presentations include the Broccoli Rob Show, a hilarious performance aimed at promoting healthy eating habits for kids and adults through music, dance, and martial arts.

Local favorite Strummin’ and Drummin’, featuring brothers Chris and Matt Marshak, will also perform their funky, bluesy, soulful and silly kids’ songs that will get the whole place dancing.  The crowd should also prepare for the critically acclaimed Secret Agent 23 Skidoo whose unique Hip Hop for Kids will have residents of all ages singing along.

The curtains will come down on a high note with upbeat, motivational folk-rock music performed Grammy Award nominated Brady Rymer & the Little Band That Could.

Residents are urged to bring a picnic blanket and or lawn chairs.
