Library Girls Night Out with Author Rachelle Bergstein

Rachelle Bergstein’s entertaining and informative new book Women From the Ankle Down (Harper, June 2012), goes beyond the myriad coffee table books that have celebrated women’s shoes over the years. It is a delightful romp through the story of something we all wear and many of us cherish, but also a social history of women as seen through the history of shoes and the women who wore them.
