Lutheran Church Driveway Sale

The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 12 Franklin Avenue, will not hold its annual Harvest Fair this fall in the church’s hall and gymnasium. Why?  A $1.6-million renovation and expansion project is underway at the church.  Watch for the return of the Harvest Fair in 2012.

In lieu of the Harvest Fair, you are invited to attend a church-sponsored “Driveway Sale” at 77 Ivy Way on Friday, October 14 (12 noon – 4pm), Saturday, October 15 (8am – 3pm) and Sunday, October 16 (12 noon – 4pm).  With something for everyone, the “Driveway
Sale” offers NEW children’s toys, children’s clothing, party favors, papergoods, designer evening bags, etc.

On Saturday, the 15th, members of the congregation’s Grace Guild, affiliated with the national organization Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
(WELCA), will host a Bake Sale at the driveway event.

Proceeds will be given to the “Rebuilding for Our Savior” program.  On the weekend of the sale, the congregation
will be celebrating its 96th anniversary.  The first Lutheran worship service in Port was held on October 10, 1915 in the former Odd Fellows’ Hall on South Washington Street.
