Artist Burt Young of Port Washington Has Exhibit at Nassau County Museum of Art

Paintings by the multitalented artist Burt Young, a resident of Port Washington, will be on display in the Library Gallery of Nassau County Museum of Art from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31.

Best known for his Academy Award-nominated portrayal of Paulie in the Rocky films, Young is also an established painter whose art has been displayed in galleries throughout the world. Nassau County Museum of Art is located at One Museum Drive (just off Northern Boulevard, Route 25A, two traffic lights west of Glen Cove Road) in Roslyn Harbor. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Docent-led tours of the exhibition are offered at 2 p.m. each day. Admission to the galleries in the Arnold & Joan Saltzman Fine Art Building is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (62+) and $4 for students and children (4-12). Admission includes entrance to the Art Space for Children. Members are admitted free. There is a $2 parking fee on weekends (no charge to members). The Gift Shop is open during museum hours. Grace's Café is open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
