'Grease' Is The Word In Port Washington

The Port Washington Play Troupe held callback auditions for its upcoming production of "Grease" on Wednesday.

Dozens made their way to tryouts which ran throughout the week at the Elks Lodge.

"We are very excited, the talent out there is amazing," said show organizers in a statement on the Port Washington Play Troupe Facebook page.

In a fun twist, the show will feature actors 30 and over. No word has been made yet on the cast list. An announcement is expected in the coming days.

Six Port Washington showings are slated in July for the community theater production of the popular Broadway hit. Show dates are July 19-21 and 26-28 at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater on Main Street.
