Library Recommends Ear Plugs For Some on Friday

Rolling Stones tribute band to perform.

Port Washington Public Library officials are recommending earplugs Friday evening for those with sensitive ears.

Normally a quiet retreat, the library's unusual offer to those who can't get no satisfaction comes in advance of a performance by the Rolling Stones tribute band Streetfighter.

Established in 1978 as Long Island's answer to the Broadway production of Beatlemania, the band was conceived to capture the music, spirit, and look of the "world's greatest rock and roll band," replete with period correct clothing, playing songs from three distinctively major evolutions of Rolling Stones music, according to the band's website.

The free concert runs Dec. 20 from 7:30-9 p.m. at the library.
