Live Music Festival Coming to Vanderbilt Museum

Live art, live music on Long Island Sound sounds like a perfect afternoon upcoming on the great lawn at the Vanderbilt Museum.
The Long Island "Sound & Art Festival' is set for Sunday, June 30, from noon to 7:30 p.m. at the grand mansion's grounds on Little Neck Road in Centerport,

Featured artists are a series of tribute bands, including Liverpool Shuffle (Beatles tribute), Reckoning (Grateful Dead tribute) and Black Dog (Led Zeppelin tribute) among others. As the same time, some 50 artists will paint and create to the inspiration of the live music, scenic vistas and audience interaction.
The event is part of the second season of Rich Rivkin’s Summer Arts Festival Series of 11 outdoor festivals at waterfront parks, museums and colleges across Long Island. The full schedule is available at www.limusicfestivals.com.

Lyle Lovett Appearing at Tilles Center
Singer, composer and actor Lyle Lovett, whose muse fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues, will appear with his acoustic band on Saturday July 13 at 8.p.m. at the Tilles Center.
