See Beethoven's Fifth at Tilles on Sunday

The Long Island Youth Orchestra will present the second concert of its 52nd Season on Sunday, March 9, at 7p.m. at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts – LIU Post in Brookville. 

Scott Dunn, music director and conductor, will conduct LIYO in an evening of orchestral music including the famous Beethoven Symphony No. 5, Liszt’s Les Preludes, and Rimsky-Korsakov’sRussian Easter Overture

Founded by Martin Dreiwitz in 1962, LIYO boasts 90 teenage players representing nearly 40 communities from Nassau and Suffolk counties. In residence at LIU Post for 30 years, the Long Island Youth Orchestra rehearses weekly and presents a series of four concerts each season.
