Friends of the Library University returns to the library, with two lectures. Dr. Andrew Delbanco, chair of the American Studies Department at Columbia University, will discuss "Herman Melville, In His Time and Ours."  Dr. Charles A. Riley II, cultural historian and Nassau County Museum curator-at-large, will present a multimedia celebration of the sea in art, opera, music, literature and film. .
