Thousands of Port Washington students head back to class Monday.
That means parents and students alike must get acclimated to new routines.

Meanwhile, Port Washington Police are urging motorists to drive carefully. They are reminding motorists to drive carefully and watch for children.
In an automated message to members of the Port Washington community, Port Washington Police said:
“Give yourself extra time traveling during school arrival and dismissal times. In addition, please obey all school crossing guards who are there for the safety of our children. Don't forget to stop for school buses with there red flashing lights on. Additional police patrols will be out enforcing traffic regulations to help ensure the safety of the students as well as the motorists.”
