Port Washington Residents Raise Money for Young Survival Coalition

The group helps young women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Several Port Washington families helped to raise money for the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) on Saturday by selling pink lemonade and homemade baked goods.

The YSC is a non-profit that is dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful.

The Port Washington group was able to raise $240 in just three hours but efforts were cut short because of the weather.

Patch has learned that additional groups plan to set up stands throughout the month of October. So drive carefully and keep an eye out for other stands with tasty treats.
